Benidorm Brit’s abroad
Benidorm has seen holiday makers, especially the British, flocking to its bars and beaches ever since the late 50’s. With some of the Costa Blanca’s liveliest night life and best beaches seeing many visitors returning year after year. Over time it has become a bit of an ex-pat outpost with an estimated 20 percent of the full time inhabitants of this tourist hotspot being British. Benidorm enjoys a mild winter and scorching summer weather making it a popular destination all year round.

Local pubs to Super Clubs...
Benidorm has acquired a reputation among clubbers as one of the Mediterranean's top night spots and rightly so. As soon as the sun starts setting there's non-stop entertainment in every form you can imagine, only stopping for day break! There are more clubs, bars, cabarets, discos and pubs in an area this size than in any other resort in Spain. If you come to Benidorm in high season, brace yourself for one long party. No matter your nationality there is more than likely is a pub themed to your home country, whether it’s the Irish "Shamrock", the Welsh "Dragon" or the English "Rovers Return", you can sit back and enjoy a beer with your fellow countrymen.

One of the biggest and most popular nightclubs is KM Disco Garden. It plays host to 5,000 clubbers keeping the drinks flowing from any of the 12 bars and keeping your hands in the air with its massive laser shows. For all those who want to keep going after the clubs close, look for the adverts for the next “Sticky Vicky” show if you’d like to see what a 60 year old can do with ping pong balls! For the more mature tourist or those not seeking the all night party on offer, Bingo halls are plentiful and cabaret is definitely on the agenda with one of the top night time attractions being the Benidorm Palace. Situated on the northern edge of the town, it offers an international cabaret show and some top class Flamenco dancing to shake your maracas to.

Not just checked caps and string vests...
With shops ranging flea markets to shopping malls, Benidorm offers plenty of opportunities for some serious retail therapy! Some of the more popular shops can be found along Benidorm's Avenida Martinez Alejos in the Old Town district. Further shopping in Benidorm can be found along the Passeig de la Carretera, where leather goods are plentiful, and around the spacious Plaza Major. Benidorm's Levante and Rincón de Loix districts are home to some of the town's best fashion shopping and boutiques, together with supermarkets and gift shops. For bargain hunters visiting Benidorm, be sure to head to the regular markets, which offer a mixture of local produce, crafts, antiques and your more typical trinket gifts, a more notable place to visit would be the El Cisne Flea Market.

More than just a Full English …
Whether you are looking to sample some of the local Tapas, stick to a Full English or anything in between you will find your tastes catered for in Benidorm. Being a major tourist resort with miles of sandy beaches, it is not surprising that Benidorm offers such an enormous number of restaurants catering to all tastes. No matter what you find yourself in the mood for you will find somewhere to cater for it with Chinese, Indian, Italian, Mexican and seafood restaurants, together with a number of more traditional Spanish restaurants and fine dining, particularly around Benidorm's Old Town district. With the influx of tourists, restaurants in Benidorm also cater for those with a less adventurous palate, with plenty of English style restaurants, particularly around the Place de la Constitutión, serving steaks, fish and chips, salads and other dishes, such as the classic English fry up. Benidorm also contains a host of fast food restaurants, for those whose night wouldn’t be complete without a burger and cheesy chips or a kebab.

Day after the night before...
Amongst the places to visit is the old Benidorm city centre. Not that there is that much left from the old centre, as only the San Lorenzo, Santa Fez and San Vicente Streets mark the rests of old Benidorm, but is still well worth a visit. Benidorm's two beaches, the Playa de Poniente and the Playa de Levante are just over 3 miles long in total. Along most of the Playa de Poniente Beach, a main Benidorm road with heavy traffic passes by. So, if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing bath under Benidorm's sun, you should go for the Playa de Levante.

For those of you that just couldn’t leave the clubs at home there are over fifteen 18 hole golf courses in the Costa Blanca, all within around a 2 hour drive of Benidorm. Some have been designed by Seve Ballesteros himself and some even play host to Spanish national championships. Other interesting Benidorm tourist attractions apart from Benidorm nightlife are the different holiday and theme parks around Benidorm. From Terra Mitica to Mundomar and Aqualandia, all parks offer a variety of rides and attractions which are fun for the whole family, especially if you are on holiday with the kids.
